dripping Ink

Jackson Pollock

Jackson Pollock was the art world's most notorious celebrity during the 1950s. Despite a long apprenticeship he came to prominence suddenly late in 1949

I went up into the savoy hotel and took pictures from above.  Im going do the view from one end of the street to the other, and join them together.  I did it in large scale and im going to put it up ontop of the wall out flat to give a different perspective and view.

I mostly working on my 3d now, and just finishing off contexual notebook and what not.  Im kind of going for a different abnormal and distorted look for my 3d work. I dont want it to be literal.
I took advantawge of the snow while we have it and used it as part of my 3D work, and bringing in the ink drawing into it as my influence. I have to say it was a bit of fun making it, and slightly messy, but i think i got the point accross!

inks

I started to experiment with different ways of drawing rather than using the regular pencil.  I wanted to get a different effect through using ink.i decided to use using a drip effect, just a different way of doing the scene because i find myself doing the same scene over and over, so i want each way to be diffent. im happy with the way it turned out.  it was actually quick to do but turned out well.

I think that working large scale work better with the theme that im working with as it has better impact.
Im mostly working with buildings and lanscapes.
i try to do them in a realistic way,but also in a distorted way to make them look different and original.i do this in the medium and materials that i work with.

Urban environment

The title of my project under Urban Environment is the 'viewpoint from above', or a birds point of view'.
I have gone around the town of limerick collecting images and information that helped me in my research in tgis area.
I concentrated on images from a high buildings etc in town (savoy hotel), and tranfered these images into my work.
